There is a nature reserve we visit from time to time (and have been visiting for the past several years).  Though increasingly busy these days, it is very, very quiet compared to most places with trails. 

Many of the people come for bird-watching and photography.

It hasn't always looked like this.  Not long ago, when it was undergoing restoration, it rather resembled Tolkien's Dead Marshes.  Before that, there was a lot of grassland - now, it is coming back slowly, more marshy.  Ettinsmoor, if you will.

The best thing about it now: you can smell the ocean better than before.
